Karina Pasian
Even before 16-year-old Karina Pasian signed to Def Jam records, the stellar singer was already making a name for herself. From her winning performance on Star Search in 2003 to singing at the White House last June during Black Music Month, this New York City chanteuse has been paying her professional dues since she was a toddler. Karina’s diverse heritage includes roots from the Dominican Republic, Armenia and Russia. At the early age of three, she initiated her piano training with Russian instructor Olga Musatov. At the age of 4 she began her training in Ballet at the Ballet School in Manhattan where she currently receives instruction in Classical Ballet, Flamenco, Modern Dance and other styles of dance. From age 5 to 13, Karina attended the Special School of Music at Lincoln Center in Manhattan where she graduated. This school combines academic elements with rigorous pre-conservatory musical instruction.
